Basecamp Redesign

UX/UI/PRODUCT DESIGN

This basecamp redesign is a personal project I decided to work on based off of my experience using Basecamp every day as my main Project Management tool.

Problem: On Basecamp, there isn't an easy way for me to see my own to do lists and keep track of the to-do lists of other people on my team. I see a lot of Project Management tools have figured out ways to organize task flows like backlog, ready to do, doing, ready for dev, dev, QA, and done. But they do not easily filter by who is assigned to complete each task.

Current "Solution": Since I get every Basecamp request as an email, I organize my personal to-do's by adding a “star” in my Gmail inbox so that they are easily separated out for me. This still poses problems for me because I can't organize these tasks by date or by who should be completing them. It's also visually cluttered.

Solution: Elevate the overall UI/visual aesthetic of the basecamp interface while adding a product feature for Personal To-Do's and Team Member To-Do's. Add customization features to organize these tasks by due date, priority, and team member. I also added new features to enhance the interactions between the manager and the people they manage, like commenting on tasks and providing feedback.
